Give in Honor of Someone:
Recognize an Educator
At CEF, we believe that great educators make great schools and great schools make great communities! Honor your Claremont Unified School District teacher, school administrator, coach, or support staff by making a donation of $25 or more in their name to Claremont Educational Foundation and we will send them a certificate of appreciation in recognition of your donation. This is a quick and easy way to say thanks to those professionals who are dedicated to making your child’s educational experience the best it can be.
Make a Tribute in Honor of a Loved One
CEF welcomes tributes to commemorate, celebrate, or recognize life’s most important events. A tribute is a wonderful way to mark a special occasion or remember a loved one while making a meaningful charitable donation in support of public education.
Other Ways to Give:
Become a Business Partner
As part of our mission to protect and enrich quality public education in Claremont through community involvement, we rely on donations and sponsorships from local, regional, and national businesses. If you would like to know more about making a cash or in-kind donation as a business partner or sponsoring one of our programs or events, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Large Gifts, Endowments, and Charitable Distributions
CEF welcomes large gifts and endowments, as both unrestricted funds and donor-restricted funds, as well as gifts from donor advised funds and qualified charitable distributions from retirements funds, to support one-time projects as well as ongoing goals. Click here to download a PDF of our Investment Policy Statement.
Donor Advised Funds
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are charitable giving programs that allow you to combine the tax benefits of charitable giving with the flexibility to give to different causes at different times. If you have a Donor-Advised Fund, please consider adding CEF to the charitable organizations that you support through your DAF. For more information on DAFs, please visit Fidelity Charitable.
Gifts of Appreciated Stock
You can receive a charitable tax deduction at the fair market value of publicly traded securities and bypass tax on capital gains by donating stocks to CEF. Consult with your tax advisor to determine the amount of any deduction you may be able to claim. All stock donations must be made before Dec. 31 to be claimed in the current tax year. To donate stock to CEF, click here to download the stock donation form then contact CEF’s Development Director, James Lau, at email@example.com
Employer Matching Donations
Matching gift programs allow you to increase the impact of your donations through the charitable giving program of the company you work for. Some companies match employee charitable donations 1:1, or sometimes even more! Contact your company’s Human Resources Department to see if your donation to CEF is eligible to be matched by your company. For more information on matching gift programs, visit Double the Donation.

"I feel so lucky to have had art and music at Mountain View thanks to CEF. Next spring I am excited to join El Roble’s Reader’s Theatre afterschool drama program and can’t wait to audition for another show. Thank you, Mrs. Minano and CEF!”
